Vryburger High bags top matric results
After a hard year, facing numerous challenges, the matrics improved the school’s pass rate by 5.8 % to 93.2 %.

Hoërskool Vryburger High School proudly celebrated a well-deserved improvement in matric results against all odds.
After a hard year, facing numerous challenges, the matrics improved the school’s pass rate by 5.8 % to 93.2 %.

This is also the best pass rate for English high schools in Germiston.

The school bagged 11 distinctions and 38 bachelor’s passes.

The Class of 2024 were well-disciplined and worked extremely hard. Learners attended Saturday and holiday classes and formed ‘study buddy groups’, while educators spent most of their free time investing in ‘final push’ strategies.

Parent support and involvement also played a big role in the success recipe.
This is how schools in the area performed according to their pass rate:
• Hoërskool Vryburger High School – first.
• Germiston High School – second.
• Goudrif High School – third.
• Afrikaans High School Germiston – fourth.
• Dawnview High School – fifth.
• Primrose High School – sixth.
• Elspark High School – seventh.
• Elsburg High School – eighth.

• Thembelihle Dludlu achieved a distinction in life orientation.
• Tho-Shandre Harvey achieved a distinction in tourism.
• Boitumelo Kekana achieved two distinctions in life orientation and life sciences.
• Nolitha Ngcongo achieved a distinction in business studies.
• Langelihle Nkiwane achieved a distinction in mathematics.
• Lebohang Radebe achieved a distinction in business studies.
• Pfano Soejane achieved a distinction in business studies.
• Khensani Tefo achieved a distinction in business studies.
• Nthabeleng Matlou achieved a distinction in tourism.
