Women operations yield success in Germiston

"Three illegal immigrants were arrested in the process and 1x J534 was issued," said Shezi.

Germiston SAPS commander Brigadier Nonhlanhla Shezi recently led a series of roadblock operations along Linton Jones Road.

Shezi commended the efforts of all stakeholders who participated, including members of the EMPD, Gauteng traffic wardens, the Community Policing Forum (CPF), and the Youth Desk.

“The women-led operations included stopping and searching vehicles, checking for unroadworthy vehicles, and searching for illegal goods,” Shezi said.

During the operations, three illegal immigrants were arrested, and one J534 traffic notice was issued. Shezi praised the collaborative effort, emphasising the importance of community involvement in maintaining safety and law enforcement.
