Three of the four suspects had already been arrested earlier in the week, with the final suspect remaining at large until officers received information about his whereabouts.
Acting on the tip-off, officers proceeded to a residence on Quail Street in the Entshonalanga section of Tembisa, Ekurhuleni.
Upon arrival, officers searched the suspect and the premises, recovering a black Taurus 9mm pistol with its serial number filed off. The firearm was loaded with a magazine containing 13 live rounds of ammunition.
The suspect was arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm and detained at Tembisa South Police Station.
The JMPD confirmed that investigations into the courier robbery syndicate are ongoing.
