Ekurhuleni begins repairs on burnt Dukathole substation in Germiston

The substation caught fire in June due to illegal connections and vandalism of the infrastructure.

The power supply interruption is affecting customers in the industrial and residential areas in Germiston South.

The city urges customers to refrain from making illegal connections, tampering with meters, or purchasing electricity from unauthorised vendors, as these practices lead to grid overload and supply interruptions.
