Executive Mayor Nkosindiphile Xhakaza unveiled 56 new operational vehicles at the Primrose Fleet Workshop to strengthen frontline service delivery across key municipal departments.
The City of Ekurhuleni has expanded its operational fleet with 56 new vehicles, unveiled by Executive Mayor Alderman Nkosindiphile Xhakaza at the Primrose Fleet Workshop on Thursday, July 23, to strengthen frontline service delivery.
The investment forms part of the City’s Fixing the Frontline programme, which aims to improve service delivery by equipping operational teams with the tools they need to respond more effectively to residents’ needs.

The new fleet includes cherry pickers, graders, tractors and utility bakkies, which will be deployed across various municipal departments to enhance operational capacity.
Xhakaza said the vehicles would bolster the City’s internal service delivery capability and provide much-needed support to Metro Trading Services and frontline functions, particularly the Solid Waste Management, Energy, and Water and Sanitation business units.
