Expressing concern over the behaviour of councillors, Khumalo highlighted its negative impact on service delivery and stressed the importance of prioritising the interests of the people.

Originally planned for the previous week, the meeting was postponed by Speaker Nthabiseng Tshivhenga, citing undisclosed reasons.

The political landscape in Ekurhuleni remains uncertain, with party disputes lingering following the removal of former Mayor Sivuyile Ngodwana through a motion of no confidence, leaving the city without a leader for weeks.

Previous meetings witnessed emotional outbursts, prompting the presence of law enforcement officers in council chambers to maintain order.
