Germiston model and philanthropist asks community for support

Looking ahead, Ramathibela is preparing to represent South Africa internationally at the Miss Teen Charm International Stage in Colombia in November.

Lebogang Ramathibela, a 17-year-old model and philanthropist from Germiston, is actively seeking sponsorship to support her upcoming projects through her NPO, the Lebogang Foundation.

Since its inception in October 2021, the Lebogang Foundation has been dedicated to spreading kindness, empowering young girls, and assisting the less fortunate.

On May 25, Ramathibela will be sponsoring a karate tournament, providing trophies and medals for participants.

Her involvement with the foundation has also included working with children in orphanages and schools, initiating projects like establishing a food garden for an orphanage in Katlehong and launching the Girls Unite campaign last year during Women’s Month.

Lebogang Ramathibela urges the community to help her collect sanitary pads and stationery which will be donated to schools.

This campaign focused on addressing issues affecting teenage girls, such as teenage pregnancy, mental health, menstruation, and peer pressure.

Ramathibela revealed that the foundation’s focus is on collecting sanitary pads and stationery to donate to schools, aiming to motivate teenage girls as part of their Youth Month project.

Reflecting on her journey, Ramathibela credited her parents for their unwavering support.

She mentioned that in Grade Nine, a life coach helped her navigate life’s challenges, leading her to establish both her foundation and her modelling career.
