Annual baseball fun day makes a return June 29

Last year’s event saw participants use party hats, washing baskets, popcorn buckets and even a partible braai as a substitute for their baseball mitts.

The annual Anything But a Mitt baseball fun day is back.

The event is scheduled for June 29 at the Giants/Imps Baseball Club at the Edenvale Sports Grounds.

Last year’s event saw participants use party hats, washing baskets, popcorn buckets and even a partible braai as a substitute for their baseball mitts.

Entry costs R250 per team for nine to 10 players. The entry fee for all non-players on the day will be R10.

Teams of any age, gender or fitness level are welcomed.

Registration will be at 08:00 and the games will start at 09:00.

All funds raised during the event will go to the Giants/Imps Baseball Club.

Businesses and individuals are invited to be part of this day.
