SAPS calls on relatives to claim body of man found on Modderfontein Road

The Sebenza SAPS appeal to the community for help in identifying a man’s body discovered in an open field near Modderfontein Road on November 21, 2024.

An identity document was found in the man’s pocket, bearing the name Themba Phineas Gumede and featuring and ID number starting in 631024.

However, police have been unable to confirm whether the ID belongs to the deceased because the current occupants of the address do not know him.

The body remains at the Germiston Mortuary.
