The Thami Xala Foundation is appealing for the community’s help to handover new school shoes to hundreds of underprivileged learners.

With winter approaching, the NPO recently launched its annual school shoe drive to support the needy pupils of Rondebult Primary School, located on the border of Germiston and Boksburg.

According to Thami Xala, the founder of the organisation, they hope to help at least all 267 identified pupils at Rondebult Primary.

Supporters are welcome to alternatively buy and donate shoes towards the initiative, however, the organisation prefers collecting enough monetary donations to buy the shoes in bulk from one supplier, as this will in turn see the project benefit from a huge discount and it ensures product uniformity.

Launched in 2021, the Thami Xala Foundation, with NPO registration number: 265-604, remains a beacon of hope for the most vulnerable locals. Its team is dedicated and committed to transforming lives and strengthening communities.

“Our journey, inspired by the empathetic vision of our founder, Thami Xala, revolves around tackling the pressing challenges the impoverished face – hunger, unemployment, and social neglect.”
