Jeppe High learners take an exchange programme to France

Learners came back with a new appreciation for the world.

Twelve Grade Nine learners from Jeppe High School for Girls, along with learners from Jeppe High School for Boys, travelled to Oyonnax in France as part of a school exchange programme from March 14 to 26.

Accompanied on tour by Mrs Costine, the learners’ itinerary included visits to the Basilica of Notre Dame of Fourviere, the Palace of Versailles, fascinating museums, the Eiffel Tower, watching snowfalls at Lac Genin, a tour of the UN offices in Geneva, being captivated by the cherry blossoms in Lausanne, the Olympic museum, seeing Montblanc and spectacular glaciers, building igloos, learning to do Biathalon with laser shooting and cross-country style skiing.

Jeppe High School for Girls said its learners came back with a new appreciation for the world, its diversity, the different cultures, practices and history.

In return, Jeppe High School for Girls will be hosting the French schools in May.
