Youngage Foundation gifts school shoes and essentials to Ekurhuleni children

"The Youngage Foundations NPC will also host its annual Back to School Shoe Drive in January 2026, continuing its mission to provide school shoes to children in need," said Molise.

The Youngage Foundations NPC has once again brought hope and joy to local schoolchildren by gifting them an early educational and health-focused Santa Shoe Box.

This annual initiative is designed to help learners step confidently into 2026, equipped with the essentials they need to thrive.

Now in its third year, the drive provided children from disadvantaged communities with Santa Shoe Boxes containing a new pair of school shoes, a hygiene pack and a reading book.

The aim is to empower learners to walk to school proudly in the new year, encourage reading during the holidays and inspire them to look forward to 2026 with confidence.

This year’s initiative was made possible through the support of SGS South Africa, CentriQ Insurance and the 100% Foundation, who collectively helped the Youngage Foundation reach and support 400 learners in Ekurhuleni.

Founder Louisa Molise emphasised that education remains a cornerstone of a brighter future and that every child’s dreams are important.

She expressed deep gratitude to the donors, volunteers and school principals who contributed to making the drive a success, adding that “it takes a village to raise a child.”

Molise further highlighted the Foundation’s long-term vision: ensuring that every child in South Africa receives a new pair of school shoes and that no learner is left behind.

The Youngage Foundations NPC team is proud of yet another successful donation drive of school shoes.

The beneficiaries were delighted with their gifts, and parents conveyed heartfelt appreciation for the Foundation’s support.

Looking ahead, the organisation hopes to expand the Santa Shoe Box drive significantly, with plans to reach and support 2 000 children from 2026 onward.

“The Youngage Foundations NPC will also host its annual Back to School Shoe Drive in January 2026, continuing its mission to provide school shoes to children in need,” said Molise.

She encouraged businesses and individuals to partner with the Foundation, stressing that collaboration and sponsorships are vital in ensuring children receive the educational resources they need, especially school shoes which are essential as part of the uniform.
