Hoërskool Goudrif in Germiston gives back to IGugulethu children

Teachers from the Germiston-based school donated personalised gifts and essential stationery packs to learners at IGugulethu.

Germiston’s Hoërskool Goudrif showed the true meaning of the festive season by giving back to the children at Boksburg’s IGugulethu, formerly known as Jubilee Home.

Under the leadership of principal Deon Janse van Rensburg, the school made a heartwarming decision to forgo their usual R200 Secret Santa tradition among teachers and instead focus on blessing the children at IGugulethu.

During their visit, the staff were warmly welcomed by Ronel Labuschagne from IGugulethu.

Thanks to generous donations from the teachers, Aleshia van den Heever and Irma Zylstra were able to purchase a special gift for every child, ensuring that each young person felt valued and celebrated.

A special thank you also goes to Strive Stationery for sponsoring 50 stationery packs for the primary and high school learners, giving them the tools they need for a successful school year ahead.

This act of kindness perfectly reflected the spirit of giving and made a meaningful impact on the children’s lives.
