Joburg mayor visits Jumpers following deadly shooting
Community calls for increased police visibility.
Executive Mayor Dada Morero visited Jumpers on Thursday afternoon, June 11, following a tragic mass shooting that has left the community in shock and mourning.
The incident, which occurred on Tuesday night, claimed the lives of 12 people and left 15 others injured.

It is one of the deadliest recent acts of violence in the area, raising serious concerns about safety and security in informal settlements across the city.
Morero said his visit was aimed at conducting a site inspection to assess how the city can better support and assist the community in the aftermath of the tragedy.
