Rondebult Feet on the Street fun walk and run returns in October

The Thami Xala Foundation is inviting the community to lace up their running shoes and get ready to hit the streets for a good cause as it prepares for its annual Rondebult Feet on the Street fun walk and run.
The event is aimed at raising funds for the Thami Xala Foundation’s work in supporting underprivileged communities, while also encouraging residents to embrace healthier and more active lifestyles.
The fundraising event will take place on October 3 at Rondebult Park, with participants invited to choose between a 3.5km fun walk or run and a 7.5km route. The fun walk and run has been taking place since 2021.

For the foundation, the event is about more than simply completing a distance. It provides an opportunity for the community to come together, have fun and contribute towards initiatives that make a difference in the lives of people who need support.
“Participants can expect a morning centred around health, wellness, community spirit and fundraising, with the event providing an accessible way for families, individuals, running enthusiasts and community members to get involved,” said foundation founder Thami Xala.
The foundation is encouraging residents to support the initiative by registering for the event, bringing friends and family along and helping spread the word.
The event will start at 08:00 at Rondebult Park.
