This should be the responsibility of parents, guardians, teachers, priests and caregivers and the priority of every responsible and caring adult in the community.
Children are the future of our nation and unless we take their growth as our responsibility into our own hands, we will have to reap the consequences of our irresponsible attitude towards our children. It is also the responsibility of the youth to listen and respect adults, whether they be their parents, strangers, educators or community leaders.
The police must also ensure that the role they play as law-enforcement officers in the community is not tainted by acts of aggression and criminality. As for parents it would be nice if they too can fulfill their role in the lives of our young children.
