Hospital gets the thumbs up

A local resident was extremely pleased with the service at Life Roseacres Hospital.

Tracey Harris, Germiston writes:

My elderly mom of 82, Beryl May, recently had to have a hip replacement at Life Roseacres Hospital and we as a family say a big thank you to all the staff who assisted us at Roseacres during her stay there in May.

The ward sisters, Rosina and Faith, the second-year student nurse Ashley, the case manager Edith who liaised with the medical aid on our behalf, management and the doctors from the emergency room general practitioner to the specialists Dr Marin and Dr Magni, as well as the ER24 guys, Byron Maree and Francois, all were very pleasant, kind and helpful to us all.

When the time came for my mom to be transported from Roseacres back to Prim Villa where she is a resident, we received the news that the medical aid wouldn’t cover the costs and Edith the case manager went to the management at Roseacres who agreed to cover the costs of the ambulance transfer as it would be very important for my mom’s safety and health.

The medical aid then did come through and we went in their ambulance but we really appreciated management’s offer – extremely generous of them as it would have cost us R2 600.

The hospital has really improved in the last few years Cathy in the coffee shop also makes it a great experience with her friendly manner, amazing food and coffees and super staff.
