Football Camps at Elspark Sports Grounds

Junior football fanatics are called to come and experience soccer at its best, learn new soccer skills, make new friends and improve their level of play, at the Elsburg Jomo Cosmos FC holiday camps.

The camps are organised by Moonira Ramathula (chairman and communication officer of the Elsburg Jomo Cosmos FC), in conjunction with Brazilian Soccer Schools, and will take place at the Elspark Sports Grounds.

The summer courses are a great way for young players to develop their skills and have fun while playing the game under the watchful eye of Brazilian Soccer Schools coaches.

Focus is on teaching the fundamental techniques of the beautiful game and showing young players how to master their skills.

The camps are tailor made for junior players, with a fun, friendly and safe atmosphere; football mad children live and breathe the game for a week.

Players will learn how to practise like their heroes and will truly feel they are living their dream of being footballers.

Full coaching programmes improve players’ overall understanding of the game.

All players will have the chance to learn the essential techniques of the game: dribbling, passing, turning, finishing and defending, to mention a few.

The amazingly prolific coaching prgrammes include:

•  use of Futebol De Salao balls,
•  Brazilian Soccer Schools T-shirt,
•  giveaway pack and
•  great fun.

Coaching is based around the unique Brazilian Soccer School Skills Badge Scheme and the Brazilian game of Futebol De Salao.

The individual approach to the coaching programmes maximises players’ enjoyment and confidence, to make sure they get the most from each holiday camp.

The camps are held from Mondays to Thursdays and there will be five camps on five different dates:

Date Camp 1: September 23 – September 26, 2013

Date Camp 2: September 30 – October 3 2013

Date Camp 3: December 2 – December 5 2013

Date Camp 4: December 9 – December 12 2013

Date Camp 5: January 6 – January 9 2014

The time is from 9am till noon.

Camps will be split into two groups.

Group one comprises age groups between five to eight years of age, and group two is aimed at nine to 13-year-olds.

There is a joining fee and discount will be given to Brazilian Soccer Schools members.

Players are required to provide football boots, shin pads and sunscreen.
