The Germiston Sports Soccer and Cricket Clubs, together with the Little Kickers, have joined forces and will host an Easter Fun Day, on April 12, at the Germiston City Sports Club.
The Easter Fun Day is an initiative that brings all the children’s activities together and allows the youngsters to experience the different sports that are available at the Germiston City Sports Club.
“We encourage parents to bring their children to the fun day and introduce them to an active outdoor lifestyle while having fun at the same time,” said one of the organisers, Cristina Paul.
Children from 18 months to 16 years are welcome to join in the fun.
The Little Kickers mascot, Lenny the Lion, will be there, playing with the children and handing out Easter eggs.
Jumping castles, an Easter egg hunt, soccer and cricket games are among the activities the children can expect to enjoy on the day.
The organising committee is hopeful that professional soccer players will make appearances to sign autographs and play with the children.
“We are also looking for sponsors for the day, to contribute to the raffles,” added Paul.
