The Ekurhuleni Kiddies Games 2014 have come and gone, but fond memories of the fun and games remain.
The event was recently held at the Reiger Park Stadium, where five and six-year-olds from all corners of the city and the East Rand competed in various disciplines.
The games are aimed at introducing pre-school children to the basics of sport before they go on to primary school.
The children’s physical strength was tested through popular games such as ball dribbling and kicking, cycling, ball hopping and ring throwing.
Jumping castles, colouring books, banner parades, clowns and dancing with Mrs Drop, the city’s Blue Drop mascot, were additions to the fun activities this year.
