The Delville Germiston Bowling Club is looking for new members to join their ranks and play this enjoyable sport.
There are four greens to play on, a lovely club house and a reasonably priced bar.
Coaching is provided by qualified coaches.
Various competitions, both internal and external, are played throughout the year, as well as men’s and women’s leagues, which start in November.
A number of “fun days” are held on public holidays, when braais and lunches are among the things to be enjoyed by the whole family.
Game days are:
- Wednesday – 1.30pm
- Saturday – 1.30pm
- Sunday – 9.30am
On game days, 10 ends are played, followed by a break for tea or a drink, and then another eight or 11 ends are played.
The club is situated in Delville Road South, just off Elsburg Road, behind the Delville Swimming Pool.
