Taekwon-Do Friendship Games a huge success

Club hosts exciting tournament.

The fifth annual Taekwon-Do Friendship Games tournament was held at the Primrose Wrestling Club, on Saturday.

Taekwon-Do clubs from across Johannesburg and Vereeniging had members taking part in the tournament.

A total of 133 competitors showcased their talents.

“I am pleased with the turnout at the tournament; there is growth in the number of participants and a huge improvement in the skills of the competitors every year,” said one of the main organisers, Michelle Rahl.

The juniors at the tournament showed maturity, as they were able to apply what their instructors advised them on during the short breaks, which also showed full commitment to the competition.

Cold and hot drinks were available, together with other refreshments that kept the spectators busy as they shook off the cold by cheering on the participants who, in turn, gave their supporters exciting matches to watch.
