Germiston United FC’s victory

Germiston United FC wins league.

The Germiston Local Football Association congratulates Germiston United FC on winning the 2013/ 2014 Super League Season.

They won the league by not losing a single game and drawing only once.

Germiston United FC, under the guidance of Sunny Odemeola, will represent the association in the Super League Play-offs.

It was not an easy campaign, because the league had to be stopped, due to teams who could not gain access to certain facilities within Germiston for various reasons.

This will be the first time in five years that the Germiston LFA will be sending a team to represent the town at regional level, since the association was not functional.

The association appeals to both junior and senior local teams to join the league, in order to revive football within Germiston and the surrounding areas, and also to curb gambling games that are not assisting with football development.

The new league is scheduled to start in mid-August.

The Germiston LFA also thanks all the teams who participated in the past season for their commitment and dedication throughout the season.

The teams also ensured that the league was a success, despite the challenges encountered during the season.
