Police take to the streets

Police officers run Soweto half marathon.

The Germiston SAPS had some of its officers take part in the Soweto 42km Half-marathon, at the Nasrec Show Grounds, recently.

Three of the four officers, Capt Sello Komane, WO Enoch Zita and Capt Edwin Setlale, tackled the 42km run, while WO Mvuselelo Xulu took on the 21km.

Komane finished the marathon in four hours and 28 minutes, Zita in five hours and 15 minutes, Xulu in two hours and 19 minutes and Setlale in five hours and 12 minutes.

The station commander, Brig Samuel Thambo, congratulated these members for their achievements and also taking into account that Setlale, Zita and Xulu are above 50 years.
