Young fishing star bags gold

Hazeldene’s young angler is continuing to reach milestones in her career.

As part of Sylvie Richards’s journey as a growing angler, she recently attained another milestone in her career.

The Hazeldene youngster was contacted by her home angling club, Rand Piscatorial Association (RPA), and offered the opportunity to be part of the women’s team during this season’s provincial league.

After battling it out for two weekends recently, the RPA women’s team beat their adversaries by one point.

“Her dad, Phillip, and I are very proud to see Sylvie making her mark in the big arena,” said Sylvie’s mother Georgia.

The trophy for the winning team was sponsored by Supercast.
