Master athletes set to showcase their skills
Central Gauteng Masters Athletics Championships set to take place at Germiston Stadium on April 13.
Athletics fans are in for a treat with the annual Central Gauteng Masters Athletics (CGMA) Championships set to take to the track and field at Germiston Stadium on April 13.
“The event is for more mature athletes, by mature I mean athletes over the age of 30 years old,” said CGMA chairperson, Zelda Claassen.

The day’s programme will start at 7.30am with athletes competing in five different age groups, in a number of different events.
There is no entrance fee and the community is encouraged to come and show their support.

“Anyone, above the age of 30, interested in becoming a master athlete can also call me,” said Claassen.
“Master athletics is all about keeping fit and slow down the aging clock.”
