Luso Africa FC struggled to find rhythm on the pitch in their recent Eastern Local Football Association (ELFA) Super League clash against Kempton Park FC.
Luso Africa FC’s winning streak, in the Eastern Local Football Association (ELFA) Super League, came to a halt on Saturday.
The team played a home game against a sturdy Kempton Park FC.
Kempton Park set a fast-paced game from the kick off, leaving a scattered Luso bewildered as they had been in control of most of their games, since the start of the season.
Whilst struggling to gather themselves on the pitch, Luso allowed Kempton Park to cruise past their defenders to score the only goal of the first half.

In the second half, Luso took a firm grip on the game and much of the game was played in Kempton Park’s half, but no clear chances were created, until Fulvio Perreira got the equaliser, late in the second half.
It seemed the win was on the way for Luso until Kempton Park shattered those dreams with a late goal, moments before the final whistle, earning a 2-1 win against the home team.
The second team struggled to get into the game earlier in the day as they faced Kempton Park FC’s reserve side.
Poor defensive work from Luso saw Kempton Park find the back of the net midway into the first half.
Despite being outplayed in the first half, Luso’s Balin Benissan got an equaliser just before half-time.
The second half saw a better display from Luso, however, an oversight in their defence saw Kempton take the lead once more.

Luso made some changes towards the end of the match, and substitute Zanokohle Radebe scored a late goal, ensuring the teams shared the points.
The women’s team played a home game in the 2019 Sasol Women’s League the following day against newly promoted, Pull Together, in the hope of continuing their strong start to the season.
They managed a 6-1 win against their visitors.
The win earned them a spot in second place on the Sasol Women’s League Gauteng log, right behind Tuks University.
