Luso bounce back with an away win

Luso Africa FC travelled to Linmeyer to face Linhill Celtic FC in the Eastern Local Football Association (ELFA) Super League.

After a disappointing loss against Kempton Park FC, in the Eastern Local Football Association (ELFA) Super League, Luso Africa FC bounced back with an away win against Linhill Celtic FC, last Saturday.

The first teams’ clash was a fast-paced affair with both teams pushing for a goal from the first whistle.

But it was Luso, with a well-timed strike form Sizwe Magagu, who were the first to get a point on the scoreboard.

Magagu’s goal was soon followed by another Luso goal this time from Dumisane Makhaba taking the team to a two goal lead at the half-time break.

The second half was more disruptive with a lot of stoppages by the referee.

With all the breaks in play both teams struggled to find their feet and get into a groove.

In the final moments of the match Linhill managed to score, but it was too little too late for the home team, and Luso secured a 2-1 win.

The second teams’ match was a pretty even contest with neither team giving too much away.

Goalkeeper Dillon Rebelo did well in the goal for Luso, ensuring Linhill never found the back of the net.

The first half ended goalless and the teams looked to the second half to make their mark on the game.

The second half followed the same slow pace until Neville Stewart scored the first and only goal of the game for Luso with a header.

The match ended in a 1-0 victory for Luso.
