Tension and excitement were in the air when Luso Africa FC’s u-12 team took on Corinthians FC last Sunday at Benoni Northerns FC.
The occasion – the Eastern Local Football Association (ELFA) Super League Cup final.
The Luso youngsters went in guns blazing and lifted the trophy with a convincing 5-0 win.
Luso dominated the first half, with Neville Nkala scoring two goals.

After the break it was hard going for the Luso players, but Corinthians began to tire and this gave Luso the opportunity to score their third goal.
The goal was scored by Shaun Craig.
After that, Luso didn’t look back and scored a further two goals, by Siya Siyasanga and Jojo Tau.
The boys were thrilled with their win.
Luso Africa’s u-12 team and the u-13 team were also named the ELFA Super League winners in their divisions.
