Germiston soccer star and Primrose High School matric learner Muzi ‘Skay’ Sibiya has his eyes set on the DStv Premier League team Sekhukhune United.
United was promoted to the PSL after gaining an automatic transfer to the top league from the second division AfricaGlad Championship league.
“How the team plays interests me the most. They touch and move the ball and players connect to each other. Their style of play is fascinating.”
The young footballer started playing at the age of nine while living with his late father in Katlehong.
“My father introduced me to sports. When he died I moved to Primrose to my mother, who supports me,” said Sibiya.
Sibiya has done very well for himself on and off the field, as he understands that discipline is vital to success on and off the field.
In 2018 he attended trials in Pretoria for the Rekaofela Football Academy and played for the academy in 2019.
He also played in the u-19 Knock-out Cup, u-17 Gauteng Future Champions, Safa Johannesburg SAB League 2017/2018 and Scara Ngobese Memorial Games in 2015.
