City expresses support for Ekurhuleni Comrades Marathon athletes

MMCs and dignitaries from the city expressed their support for the 35 city employees who will participate in the marathon on June 11.

Last Wednesday in Germiston, the City of Ekurhuleni Athletics Club hosted a send-off function for the city’s athletes going to the Comrades Marathon.

MMCs and dignitaries from the city expressed their support for the 35 city employees who will participate in the marathon on June 11.

The Comrades Marathon is the world’s largest and oldest ultramarathon race, with entrants hailing from various parts of the world.

The race is about 89km and is run annually in KwaZulu-Natal between the cities of Durban and Pietermaritzburg.
