Coach Loyiso Matsha, who coaches at the Germiston Stadium, believes she has the potential to qualify for major WTA tournaments.
Schultz recently competed in an ITF junior tournament at the Wanderers Club in Johannesburg.
“Under her father’s coaching, she trained daily at the Germiston Stadium six days a week. She studies online through UCT, allowing her flexibility to travel for tennis tournaments,” said Matsha.
According to Matsha, Schultz has the potential to qualify for major tournaments, including the prestigious Grand Slams.
“When not competing, she trains four hours daily at an academy led by Murray Ingram. Previously, Schultz was part of the Anthony Harris tennis academy, where she received a full athletic scholarship.
“Schultz will participate in an international ITF clay court tournament in Kenya on October 23, accompanied by a clay-court specialist from Madagascar. This marks her first solo international trip without her father.”

Before heading to Kenya, Schultz will train with Matsha in Germiston for a week to also promote junior tennis in the area.
“Schultz needs sponsorship to support her tennis career, requiring assistance with expenses like travel, racquets, shoes, and equipment.
“Despite the financial challenges, she excels both academically and in tennis. With the potential to become a top player, Schultz aims to reach a ranking of 100 or higher to qualify for prestigious tournaments like junior Roland Garros and Wimbledon.”
Matsha believes Schultz has the potential to be a future star of South African Black tennis.
“I encourage the community, individuals, women’s organisations, and companies to support Schultz through sponsorship or partnerships, helping her achieve her dreams.
“With her impressive record, including being selected for the SA U14 tennis team and attending top tennis academies, Schultz’s future looks promising with the right support. Your support could make a significant difference in helping Schultz achieve her tennis dreams,” said Matsha.
