Strong start for Ekurhuleni West College in 2026 basketball league

EWC basketball teams start 2026 COSACSA League on a high note.

Coming from a successful 2025 season, the Ekurhuleni West College (EWC) men’s and ladies’ basketball teams have started the 2026 COSACSA League campaign with strong performances.

The ladies’ team opened their season with two impressive victories, beating WESTCOL 27–10 before securing another win against Tshwane South College with a 31–18 scoreline.

However, the team was later caught off guard by their arch-rivals, South West Gauteng College, who handed them a 39–23 defeat.

Despite the setback, the ladies showed promising form in the opening fixtures.
