Celebrate all things Portuguese

Enjoy the Festa Portuguesa at @thePark.

From October 24 to 27, @thePark at Emperors Palace will be transformed into a space like no other.

As the first of its kind, a Festa Portuguesa is set to deliver a cultural Portuguese extravaganza.

Think open-air markets, an array of food and traditional ingredients, olives, wine, live music, children’s entertainment, fado and rancho sessions, beauty pageants, dance acts and its very own Brazilian-styled carnival, and you’ll only be skimming the surface of possibility come this October.

Linked to the inaugural festival is the South African – Potuguese Business Trade Summit 2013.

The international trade show will connect people and companies to the European market that offers so much, as yet, untapped possibility for investors, businesses and entrepreneurs of all shapes and sizes.

With four days of exhibition opportunities, leads and rich culture, relationships will be forged while enjoying the overall authenticity of this genuine Portuguese event.

Show organiser Paula Fernandes’ dream to bring an authentic cultural experience to South Africa, in the form of a Festa Portuguesa is finally a reality, and one she and her skilled and dedicated team intends turning into an annual event filled with many happy returns.

From food markets to fine dining and a water world for the children, patrons have four full days to indulge all of their senses.

The festival will run at the following times:

  •  October 24 and 25: noon to midnight.
  •  October 26: 9am to midnight.
  • October 27: 9am to 8pm.
