Carnival market to feature local goods
Live entertainment and artisanal goodies at second Carnival Market.
Visitors to the October instalment of the Carnival Market on October 1 can look forward to even more stalls and exhibits of handcrafted goods, clothing, artisanal drinks and other products.
For the second edition of the market, there is a special surprise: well-loved artist Ricus Nel and his band will be performing.
The market, which takes place at the outdoor Pocket Park, will open at 10am and entrance is free.
“We were heartened by the great response to our first market in September and we are thrilled to do it again in October.
“This market provides a wonderful platform for showcasing what our community has to offer. “Buying local feeds our local economy so we hope the community will come out in support of this family-centred event,” said Michelle Smith, marketing manager for Carnival City.
The Carnival Market will feature entertainment for children such as bungee jumping, pony rides and a clown offering some tips of the trade.
In addition, the Pocket Park itself boasts colourful climbing frames, a simulated Grand Prix circuit, a free ski-rink, a selection of rides in the theme park and carnival stalls where youngsters can take a stab at winning prizes.
People and businesses keen to showcase their products at the Carnival Market can contact info@mycarnivalmarket.com for more information.
