Themba Lukhele to tell his story

The concept of the book and documentary is to document the life and times of Themba as a young offender.

Get to the Dumi Masilela Theatre (formerly the Germiston Theatre) in President Street, Germiston CBD, on March 3 at 5pm, where Themba Lukhele will be talking about his recently launched book entitled King Pin, as well as simultaneously screening his documentary entitled Resurgence.

The concept of the book and documentary is to document the life and times of Themba as a young offender and how he overcame the hurdles he faced both in and out of prison.

‘’I felt writing the book and documenting my story would help with the unfortunate life of young imprisoned offenders and also create awareness of the wonderful work the Department of Correctional Services is doing to help with the rehabilitation of inmates.

“We are hoping people will come out in numbers to hear my story and be inspired to also play their part in the community,’’ said Themba.

There will be an official book signing at the event and MCs will include actor and actress Palesa Mocuminyane and Thato Molamu, with a performance by renowned gospel artist, Keke.
