Elite Rhythmic gymnasts perform well

2020 has been a tough year for business and training, but the performance of Elite Rhythmic Gymnastics continues.

Over the lockdown period, the club utilised Zoom to continue with classes, which was extremely difficult for some of the gymnasts. Unfortunately, the Crown Gardens Centre where the club is situated for training is still closed due to Covid-19 restrictions.

The club started training in October at the Doxa Deo Church in Meyersdal Estate. Most of the South African Federation competitions were cancelled last year due to the pandemic, but there was one club competition that was held on November 7 at the Portuguese hall by Empress Rhythmic Gymnastics club.

The girls who received outstanding achievements are:

Level one – Khantshe Motaung (silver)

Level two – Gabriella de Almeida (bronze) and Andisa Masikhwa (gold, highest score for level two).

Level three – Amelia Shebe (gold, highest score for level three).

The coaches are Denise Marreiros and Ayanda Nstele.
