Elsburg among Ekurhuleni hotspots targeted in drug busts

Elsburg was among the areas targeted during the metro police's operations that resulted in the arrest of six suspects and the seizure of illicit drugs.

Six men were arrested after the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) confiscated illicit drugs with an estimated street value of more than R14 000 during operations across the city.

According to the EMPD, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit, Intervention Unit and Community Liaison Unit conducted targeted operations in Elsburg, Etwatwa and Kempton Park as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crime and improve community safety.
