Company and Provisional Tax: Your deadline is February 28

Provisional Tax A provisional taxpayer is a person or organisation that receives income other than remuneration. Companies registered for Income Tax with a February year-end should pay their Provisional Tax by 28 February 2025. Provisional Tax is based on the company’s estimated annual income. It is designed to help spread out tax payments and ease the year-end burden. Submission Channels for IRP6 eFiling (sarsefiling.co.za): the most efficient way to submit your tax return is through the SARS eFiling platform. You can log in to your account and follow the instructions to complete and submit your return online. SARS MobiApp: if you prefer to use a mobile device, download the SARS Mobile App, which is a user-friendly way to file your tax returns. Branch appointment eBooking: visit a SARS branch for help to complete and submit your return. Please make an appointment online before you visit a branch. All companies and individuals eligible for Turnover Tax must register by 28 February 2025. This simplified tax benefits small businesses with a qualifying turnover of less than a R1 million. To register for Turnover Tax, download and complete the Turnover Tax application form (TT01) from the SARS website (www.sars.gov.za). The following channels can be used to submit Turnover Tax application form (TT01): a SARS branch (first make a branch appointment eBooking) via email to contactus@sars.gov.za. Tax Practitioners pcc@sars.gov.za. Important to Remember Individuals using their vehicles for business must maintain an accurate logbook to claim business expenses. Keep your logbook up to date until 28 February 2025 for accurate tax declarations.
