Gert Fouché (72) was almost beaten to death with a brick by an intruder on November 6 at 10:30 in Visagie Park.
He was helping his wife, Val (74) in their outside laundry room when they heard their dogs barking in the corner of the property.
Gert moved around the house to inspect the disruption when he noticed movement on the other side of the wall.
As he moved closer, a man attacked him from behind, striking him on his head with a brick.
“I fell to the ground after the first blow and started screaming for help while the intruder continued to hit me”, Gert said.
He suffered extensive blows to his head and torso.
Nigel CPF and SAPS Nigel conducted a search for the men shortly after the report was received.
No arrests have yet been made.
