Weight-loss challenge sheds 207 kilograms

Females Inspiring Transformation (FIT) is a group of women who share the goal of losing weight through supporting each other as well as acquiring selective advice from fitness and health professionals.
Participants were divided into two groups namely group one (started on 10 May) and group two (started on 28 June) with 53 women taking on the challenge.
According to Joanita van Wyk (founder of FIT) 17 of the 53 women who started the challenge completed it. Between the 17 challengers a total of 207.9 kilograms got shed.
The winner of group one was Ellenore Blom who lost 30 kilograms and said the word ‘impossible’ has lost its meaning to her.
Yolandie Du Plessis Wessels (26kg lost) who was crowned the winner of group two said the support of the group is what made her push through and endure.
“I feel like a new person”, Yolandie said.
Second place winners were Ilze Helberg (group one) and Louisa van den Heever Pretorius (group two) with Madeleine Janse van Rensburg finishing in third place overall.
Best toned challenger was Ilze Helberg with Franci van der Merwe identified as the challenger with the most sparkling personality.
Joanita van Wyk and Yolandi Daschner both lost the most centimetres in the challenge.
