Nigel Correctional Services devoted to caring and sharing
NIGEL - Hundreds of small faces lit up with excitement when officials from the Department of Correctional Services Nigel (DCSN) paid their bid towards the annual 67 Minutes for Nelson Mandela drive on 16 July.
Worldwide, Nelson Mandela Day is celebrated on July 18.
This year and for these children, it was Christmas in July when the poverty alleviation team from DCSN visited the Duduza Caring Community Centre, where they provided a warm meal to over 100 destitute children.
They also donated 30 pairs of school shoes and 10 blankets to indigent families in Duduza.
