Ackermans robbed by 4 armed men
NIGEL - Four armed men walked into Ackermans Nigel around 10:00 and told staff and customers not to make a sound, as they tied their hands.
The robbery, which place on September 8, was over in a couple of minutes, as a traumatised customer told HERAUT.
The robbers cleaned out the cellphone display cabinet and demanded access to the cellphone storage safe, which they also cleaned out.
Customers described the robbery as quick and calm. “The men spoke calmly and everything was over before anyone of us could really understand what is happening,” a pregnant woman said.
Nobody was injured during the robbery and the robbers made off with several brand new cellphones (the value of which are still to be determined). SAPS Nigel is investigating the robbery.
