Body of elderly woman found at old sewerage plant
DUDUZA - The body of an unknown woman (estimated between the ages of 50 and 60 years) was discovered inside an old sewerage plant in Zamani section on February 9.

According to police spokesperson W/O Yakub Rasool, a community member accidentally stumbled upon the body around 09:30 and immediately notified the police.
Upon investigation, police found the body lying face down and apart from the fact that her hands and feet being tied, her ankles were also tied to her arms from the back.
W/O Rasool explained that a post mortem will determine the exact cause of death and confirm whether she had been raped.
Meanwhile, a docket was opened at SAPS Duduza and police is investigating a murder case.
