Armed robbery in Vorsterskroon after presumed bank following
NIGEL - Police are on the hunt for a group of robbers who were involved in an armed robbery that occurred at an Engineering company in Vorsterskroon earlier today.
According to police spokesperson Sgt Nellie Dwaba, four armed men supposedly followed a company driver from the bank.
Although not yet confirmed, a shot was fired once the robbers entered the premises, but no-one was injured. The robbers overpowered the driver and made off with the money (estimated at thousands). They presumably fled the scene in a dark (blue) coloured vehicle, details of which will be made available later today.
Members of Nigel Community on Patrol (NCOP), Nigel Medical Response, Monitor 24 Security and SAPS Nigel immediately responded to the call. No arrests have been made yet.
