It was just after 10:00 when five suspects (two with firearms) entered Jet store in Voortrekker Street. According to Captain Thivhulawi Tshilate (spokesman) of Heidelberg SAPS, the robbers immediately held the security guard at the front door at gunpoint.
They then walked casually over to the cashiers and produced another firearm. They forced the manager to open a safe where they took various cell phones and an undisclosed amount of cash. They also took a TV.
They made their escape in a white sedan vehicle (possibly an Audi or Volkswagen) with unknown number plates.
