Siblings bring silver medals home from Arnold Classics Africa tournament
The Arnold Classics is one of the most prestigious sporting events in the world and one of the biggest sporting expos in South-Africa. This is the fifth year for this event in South-Africa.
Dakota (10) and Rowan (12) Bezuidenhout from Ability Academy earned silver medals at the Arnold Classic Africa 2019 Jiu-Jitsu Tournament that was held on May 18 in the Sandton Convention Centre.
The brother and sister competed (under the supervision of coach Stefan Pretorius) in their individual weight divisions (in Gi and No-gi) and were able to go through to the finals where they just fell short of the number one spot.

Pretorius, Dakota and Rowan also competed at the UAEJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Stellenbosch earlier this year (March 2) where Pretorius managed to win his division in the purple belt and were able to go through to compete in the absolute division where he also came out victorious. That meant that Pretorius was crowned as the Purple Belt Champion of Africa.
Dakota and Rowan both came second in their respective divisions which earned them silver medals.
