These cops have a heart for school learners

Heidelberg SAPS and traffic cops pay visit to Heidelberg Public School.

Heidelberg police, Lesedi Local Municipality’s traffic officials and members of the Education Department visited Heidelberg Public School on January 28 for valuable safety lessons.
The officials talked to learners about safety at home, traffic safety, bullying, abstaining from drugs, smoking and alcohol.
Captain Thivhulawi Tshilate (spokesperson and social crime prevention co-ordinator) of SAPS Heidelberg informed the principal, teachers and learners that police will perform random searches at the school to ensure that learners adhere to school and safety rules.

He also introduced them to Detective Captain Tamara Booi who will ‘adopt’ the school – meaning that she will be available to assist the principal with any SAPS related duties.
If you want to invite Captain Tshilate and his team to your school, organisation or business, phone Captain Tshilate on 079 694 6801.
