SPCAs in need of donations before lockdown

Heidelberg and Nigel SPCA are in desperate need of food and blanket donations during the lockdown period.

Local SPCAs will be directly affected by the 21 day lockdown as announced by president Cyril Ramaphosa on March 27.

The SPCAs rely on donations and without any financial assistance during the lockdown they will have to cut back on staff and the work they do. They will not be able to do community outreaches during this time.

Heidelberg and Nigel SPCAs are in desperate need of food and blanket donations during the lockdown period. Any person who is able to donate dog or cat food (wet or dry) and old blankets can do so at Heidelberg (1 Retief Street) and Nigel (Spaarwater Road between Nigel and Dunnottar) SPCAs before the end of business on March 26.

For more information phone Heidelberg SPCA on 016 342 4114 or Nigel SPCA on 084 485 7092.
