Members of the public invited to Nigel SPCA’s AGM
Members of the public are invited to attend the annual general meeting (AGM) of Nigel SPCA, which is scheduled to take place at 12:30 for 13:00 on July 25 at the Liquid Muse restaurant, 148 Hendrik Verwoerd Street, Nigel. Light refreshments will be served.

The purpose of the meeting is not only to establish a new committee and to discuss funding, but also to inform residents how Nigel SPCA is serving the communities of Nigel, Balfour, Greylingstad, Sharon Park, Marievale and Dunnottar.
The SPCA is responsible for protecting and caring for abandoned animals, preventing cruelty to animals and spreading awareness of animal care. In many rural communities where people do not have access to animal clinics, there is a problem of over-population of pets, stray animals, abuse and disease. An elected management committee is therefore needed to help directs plans, organise and ensure the future of the animal shelter.
In order to cast a vote in the AGM, SPCA membership must be paid in full. Any person can make themselves available for election to serve on the committee and if you are interested to stand for election, send an email to sec@nigelspca.co.za.
Since Covid-19 regulations apply, interested parties are requested to RSVP by email. For more information, phone Laureen Bertin on 082 685 4043.
